A modern classic

Not only does the MINI continue to turn heads in the street – it also ensures the original “compact on the outside, roomy on the inside” concept of the MINI Classic lives on.

Exterior.

Font Grille,
The Radiator grille of the mini cooper has a one – piece look, with chrome – plated horizontal bars as well as a chrome surround.

Lower light clusters,
he clusters containing the parking lights and optional front fog lights (pictured here with Chrome Line Exterior option) are positioned on the extreme right and left of the lower front bumper. This helps to accentuate the wide stance of the MINI Cooper.

Bi – xenon lights
Available as an option for all MINI models, these dazzle-free headlamps with bi-xenon technology offer twice the output of standard lamps as well as a longer lifespan.

Interior

Dashboard Options
A seemingly endless number of options are on offer for the MINI Cooper cockpit, including a leather steering wheel, CD drive and a variety of surfaces for the instrument panel.

Elliptical Door Ring
Indoor style in the MINI Cooper cockpit, with the elliptical door rings matching the instrument panel. With the Colour Line option, the armrest can also be customized.

Upholstery
Loads of different seating arrangements in the MINI Cooper, with a wide choice of cloth, cloth/leather and leather upholsteries

Safety

Rear axle
This sophisticated multi-link rear axle is designed to guarantee that each wheel is always at an optimum angle to the road surface and can react independently without affecting the other wheels. Changes in the evenness of the driving surface impair neither driving response nor traction, ensuring perfect directional stability and road holding in all driving conditions. Anti-roll bars counteract tilt on bends.

Rigid body
The MINI is one of the safest places to be on the road. Resilient structural members, high levels of torsional stiffness and a safety steering column ensure all-round protection in the event of a collision or a roll-over.

Performance

- 1.6 litre, 4 cylinder, 16V engine
- 88 kW/120 hp
- 203 km/h top speed
- 0-100 km/h in 9.1 s
- Average consumption: 5.8 l/100 km
- C02 emissions: 139 g/km

The MINI Cooper is the first member of the small- and compact-car segment to have an aspirated engine with fully variable valve timing. This valve control not only reduces emissions and fuel consumption, but also enhances the MINI typical sporty sensation.

And the MINI Cooper is definitely geared up for fun, with a six-speed manual transmission as standard (with a six-speed automatic transmission available as an option). Torque and driving power are constantly adapted to suit the respective driving situation, thereby underlining the agile, sporty character of the MINI.

The MINI Cooper also has a synchronised reverse gear, meaning that it is now possible to engage reverse gear when the car is rolling and with no slowing-down time for the gearbox. Synchronisation also prevents noise interference during gear changes, which boosts driving comfort.
