Introduction of Terrain ResponseTM to optimize settings for gearbox, throttle, Air suspension and Traction control to suit all driving terrains from tarmac, sand and snow to crawling over boulders.

The Range Rover is a contemporary evolution of a world-renowned design. It has a refined and sophisticated presence that´s unmistakeable: the unique silhouette, floating roof and clamshell bonnet with castellations. The Range Rover Supercharged is further distinguished by exclusive power vents and a unique diamond mesh design grille. All derivatives feature distinctive power vents, grille, and stylish headlights while a split tailgate design gives quick, convenient access to the rear. As with all Land Rover vehicles, The Range Rover is designed to drive through 45-degree gradients and traverse 35-degree side slopes, as well as wade through water 700 mm deep.

Distinctive grille
A light and contemporary finish distinguishes the three-bar grille. On The Range Rover Supercharged, a Noble finish grille with a unique vented diamond mesh design allows for greater air-intake, maximising performance and capability of the supercharged V8 engine.

Contemporary bumpers
Wide and integrated into the front of the vehicle, distinguished front bumpers provide greater emphasis of The Range Rover´s striking presence.

Bi-xenon Headlights
The Bi-xenon Adaptive Headlight System ensures effortless night-time driving with powerful Bi-xenon beams that provide a whiter light and exceptional illumination. They are seamlessly incorporated into a contemporary jewel-like, headlight design. As the vehicle´s steering direction and pitch change, so the headlights move – left, right, up or down – always pointing in the precise direction the driver wants to go. An additional cornering lamp emits light at low speed when the indicator is switched on, illuminating the area about to be turned into, particularly useful when turning into a dark driveway from a well-lit road.

Side power vents
Unique to The Range Rover Supercharged are side power vents with a Noble finish mesh and Brunel surround. Naturally aspirated petrol and TDV8 vehicles have a stylish 3-vent configuration.

Alloy wheels
Fitted with all-terrain tyres, The Range Rover´s alloy wheels are as strong as they are attractive. A range of designs are available as options, from a 19 inch 5-spoke and 10-spoke 20 inch wheel to a 20 inch 2 piece diamond turned wheel, exclusive to Autobiography vehicles. For the new TDV8 and the naturally aspirated derivatives 19 inch wheels are standard, with a 20 inch wheel as standard on The Range Rover Supercharged.

Split tailgate
Practicality, simplicity and ease of access are the benefits of The Range Rover´s distinctive and stylish split tailgate. Its split design ensures easy operation and allows convenient access to the upper load space.

The Range Rover is a contemporary expression of a world-renowned classic, furnished with a masterful interior design. The spacious, airy cabin benefits from a pedigree of craftsmanship, pleasing aesthetics and expert use of the finest materials. The all-new facia refines the highly regarded architectural design theme, increasing both luxury and refinement, and improving The Range Rover´s acclaimed Command driving position. The luxurious seating elevates the driver above traffic and allows potential hazards to be easily sighted.

The quietest Range Rover to date

A number of smart innovations enhance the ambience of the quiet, composed interior cabin. The TDV8 incorporates all the latest technology to ensure it is up to 75 per cent quieter than the V6 diesel engine it replaces, making it one of the quietest diesels ever. For an even quieter interior, all derivatives now gain acoustic laminated windscreen glass, reducing transmitted exterior noise by up to 6 dB. The front side glass is also laminated and further measures, including sound absorbing wheel arch liners, improved bonnet sealing and careful design of the front A pillars make for an exceptionally quiet interior. As a result, this the quietest, most refined Range Rover yet.

New entertainment system
The new rear entertainment system allows passengers to view DVDs, enjoy PlayStation gaming or watch television on 6.5 inch colour screens embedded into the front headrests. Independent control of sound via wireless headphones is available or 360° stereo sound can be selected via the 14 individual speakers of the harman/kardon LOGIC7® digital surround system.

Climate control air-conditioning
The air-conditioning system has been comprehensively revised, to offer improved cooling, better airflow distribution, lower noise and greater comfort levels. The new 9 kW evaporator (replacing a 7.8 kW version) enables 15 per cent more heat to be removed from the cabin. In addition, new centre top vents help improve ventilation for front-seat occupants, and lead to a significant reduction in airflow noise at high fan speeds.

Heated steering wheel
Driver comfort is an important aspect of The Range Rover´s exceptional driving environment. Available as standard on The Range Rover Supercharged and Vogue, The Range Rover´s heated steering wheel provides a pleasant feel even in the lowest temperatures

Heated and cooled seats
Front seats now offer an optional cooling function, for the ultimate in control over your driving comfort, where Oxford leather Comfort seats are specified. Seat temperature is adjusted using rotary seat controls mounted on the centre console adjacent to the other climate control functions. Rotating the control to the left provides cool air, whilst rotating to the right provides warm. As befits our flagship vehicle, front seats are heated as standard, across the range, with heating available at the push of a button. Heated rear seats are also available. On The Range Rover Supercharged and The Range Rover Vogue, either front or rear seats can be heated, or both rows together, with two staged heating providing a choice of high and low heat settings.

The Range Rover is reassuringly advanced in terms of safety. This powerful and sophisticated vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive network of active safety aids that constantly monitor vehicle performance and take appropriate measures when required. Thanks to extensive computer analysis and testing, new active headrests and upgraded airbag system, The Range Rover achieves even higher and more impressive levels of safety.

Command driving position
The Range Rover´s acclaimed Command driving position provides its drivers with an elevated, confidence inspiring view of surrounding traffic. The improved visibility afforded by the Command driving position also means potential hazards can be easily sighted.

Monocoque body
The Range Rover´s advanced monocoque body with integrated chassis construction ensures an impressive ride, steering feel and straight-line precision for safer, predictable driving. The strength of the body and chassis, required to support its legendary off-road and towing abilities, also provides for a very strong passenger cell that helps protect its occupants in an accident.

Double-locked doors
The Range Rover´s doors can be double locked for added security, disabling the interior door handles to prevent the doors being opened from the inside. Radio-frequency handsets with rolling codes offer a further layer of security.

Enhanced airbags and seat belts
Front, head and side airbags are fitted as standard for driver and front passenger, with head airbags for rear outboard passengers too. An enhanced airbag strategy relocates the side airbags, formerly in the doors, to the seats, to improve protection in the event of a side impact. A driver´s side inflatable knee bolster is also added to all models. The passenger front airbag has been redesigned and the new glovebox lid has been also been designed to act as a knee bolster in the event of an accident.

Supreme breadth of capability is a hallmark of The Range Rover. Land Rover´s advanced engineering and superior driving technology has created a sophisticated on-road vehicle with refined, precise handling for both everyday driving and long-distance journeys. Further innovations ensure The Range Rover offers better on-road performance than ever before, both in handling and straight-line speed. An equally sophisticated off-road capability over all terrains and under all conditions means the pinnacle of the Land Rover range moves even further ahead.

Terrain response™
No one knows more about off-road driving than Land Rover, and we´ve built that vast experience into our unique Terrain Response™ system. Rest assured, driving with confidence over challenging terrain has never been easier - just turn the dial to the appropriate icon and, whether you´re cruising on tarmac, driving over deep ruts, grass, snow, mud or sand, experience total comfort and control. As soon as you turn the dial, the engine, transmission, suspension and Traction settings are all reconfigured to deliver the optimum performance.

Refined Air suspension
The acclaimed interlinked electronic Air suspension is standard across the range, providing The Range Rover with an enormous breadth of capability and comfort. It has height settings for extreme off-road use and an access mode for easier entry and exit. The suspension copes effortlessly with a wide range of vehicle loads and its self levelling feature gives outstanding handling and vehicle composure.

Electronic Traction Control (ETC)
Four-wheel Electronic Traction Control monitors individual wheel speeds and helps ensure that drive is distributed to the wheels with the best grip. When a wheel starts to spin, ETC sends braking pulses to slow it down, improving its grip and boosting the Torque applied to the opposite wheel.

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)
Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) provides safe handling when accelerating or cornering and includes compensation for trailers. It constantly monitors key indicators and applies the ABS braking system selectively to individual wheels to correct any tendency to deviate from your chosen line.
