Headlight washing system for optimal illumination of the road in all weather conditions. Headlights are automatically cleaned in parallel with the windscreen when the lights are on.

White direction indicators are an attractive detail, adding to the sporting appearance of the BMW 6 Series.

Foglights built into front air dam, improving safety in poor visibility conditions. Ellipsoid freeform technology enables very even illumination of the road.

Xenon headlights for high and low beam, with automatic headlight range control, significantly improve road illumination at night, in bad weather or poor visibility. In combination with the optional

Adaptive Headlights, they illuminate bends via electro-mechanical movement of the headlights when the driver turns the steering wheel.
Brake-Force Display helps following drivers to judge your braking situation. Under light braking, the lower three rows of LEDs in the rear light units illuminate in red, along with the light guide strips of the rear lights whenever driving lights are not in use. Under full braking force, the upper two rows of LEDs also illuminate, generating especially bright braking light.

Fin roof, fully-automatic. Sets unprecedented standards in noise insulation. In connection with the retractable rear window, it offers very effective ventilation of the vehicle interior. When closed, it gives the convertible a typical

coupé-like silhouette; when opened, it is stowed in the soft top compartment fitted in the luggage compartment.

Fully-automatic roof operation: the open/ close function occurs automatically at the touch of a button (when vehicle is stationary).The vertical rear window can be retracted independently of the soft top. The soft top can also be opened comfortably via the radio remote control.

Glass rear window, vertically retractable, can be raised and lowered independently of the soft top. When the roof is closed and the rear window is lowered, the interior is effectively ventilated for a pleasant climate. When the roof is open, the raised rear window improves the comfort of rear seat passengers.

Sports leather steering wheel, three spokes, with multifunction; the driver can operate radio, CD player and telephone (optional) via integrated buttons - keeping both hands safely on the steering wheel. Two buttons are freely programmable.

Automatic air conditioning with extra features, including Automatic Air Recirculation (AAR), solar and condensation sensors, automatic temperature control, air distribution (separate for driver and passenger) and airflow control. Settings shown on Control Display.

Controller, the core element of iDrive (for driver and front passenger), is a rotary/push button for controlling a multitude of functions via the Control Display. There are four colourcoded submenus to choose from: Climate, Communication, Navigation and Entertainment. Just one push of the menu button returns you to the main menu.

Functional bookmarks: Each button can be programmed to instantly activate any commonly-used function of the navigation, audio or telephone systems, (e.g. a radio station or a CD title), enabling the driver and front passenger to access eight favourite functions with ease.

Driving Dynamic Control (sport mode), at the touch of a button, engine response to the accelerator becomes even more spontaneous. In models with sports automatic transmission shift times are shorter and up-shifting is delayed for a more sporty driving style. Steering assistance is also reduced for improved feel of the road

Cruise control with brake function lets you store and maintain a chosen speed above approx. 30 km/h (activated by lefthand control stalk on the steering column). After accelerating, the pre-selected speed is automatically resumed.

Info Display with precise, dazzle-free analogue instruments. Information such as time, exterior temperature and trip mileage can be selected at any time on LC displays in the instrument panel.

The Lane Departure Warning system uses a camera to monitor when the vehicle is approaching lane markings, and immediately warns the driver via a steering wheel vibration. The system is designed for country roads and motorways, and is switched on and off with a button in the multifunction steering wheel.

Standard seats (BMW 6 Series Convertible with Exclusive Pearl leather upholstery depicted above) with electric adjustment for length, height, backrest angle and tilt control. Memory for driver’s seat settings.
